Senior Citizens and Nursing Photography in Cleveland Ohio

We recently shot a full day of location portrait photography for a nursing organizations collateral and website use. We gathered at a local Cleveland Senior Citizen's facility. The shoot went very well and we shot an incredible number of shots with the help of everyone.

As I said we shot a lot of photography but it wasn't all work - there were lots of laughs too.

We just finished shooting another Shaffer Design aviation shoot. This time we were out to Hopkins International Airport. We were covering repairs and reconditioning of various airplanes in a huge hanger.

The lighting in the hanger was pretty decent but we supplemented with my strobes, and even some flash on camera so we could move quicker.

I've always enjoyed photographing people on the job.

Just finishing up some interesting and nicely lite manufactured tool photography. We've been shooting in the studio for awhile. Mostly documentation product photography for the catalogue. Then we got a chance to shoot at the plant just outside of Cleveland.
We then shot quite a few close ups of product applications. Which will be cleaned up and adjusted to bring out the motion of the product with Photoshop.

I then finished shooting some beauty shots in the studio which turned out to be a big hit.

We just finished shooting a whirlwind fashion line for Julie Ganim clothing. Julie and her crew of co-walker, clients, and family helped to organize an incredible number of outfits and looks at Stata Productions studio. http://www.juliegcollection.com/

We ended up shooting over forty different outfits thought out the studio area, hallway and various seamless backgrounds. The models were great and Julie's group was well organized and we accomplished a great number of shots in one day.

At the end of the day we shot the whole line over for fabric swatches. The colors and patterns really jumped. Beautiful arrangements of material, buttons, and zippers.

We were given the opportunity to photograph an honored employee of one of Cleveland's many major corporations. He turned out to be quite photographic and a willing subject.
We had some tight spots but I believe the work speaks for itself.

Back in the studio. This time shooting test equipment of the automotive industry. Another cool product produced in Cleveland. It never seizes to amaze me the number of different products and services that are based in our home town.
It wasn't easy taming these cords but with some magic wax and some fishing line we ended up with some pretty cool shots.

Last week we had the opportunity to shoot several jobs on location in Strongsville, Berea, Akron and Canton Ohio. Of course the day we planned this five location shoot it decided to snow like crazy. I was shooting for a national fitness equipment provider. They had their state of the art treadmills, weighs systems and various other resistant
products in several area fire departments, colleges, fitness centers, and hospitals.

Did I mention that it was snowing like crazy.

It's that time of year again and we just finished shooting the DMSA Awards Ceremony.
The Distinguished Marketing & Sales Awards where held at the Renaissance Hotel by Sales and Marketing Executives of Cleveland. Always a great networking event with the award winners and their entourage. This years Business executive of the year was Sandy Cutler of Eaton. "Sandy" and SME event chair Bob Dracon handed out awards to numerous winners including: Adam Chafe or Sherwin-Williams, Mike Malley of Crains Cleveland, John Martin of Colortone staging, and Stuart Weitzman of the Cleveland Clinic.

We start out shooting the cocktail hour and then we have our lights set up in a separate room for the big group shot. After dinner it's time to hand out those glass
awards.

It's been down and up in the snowy Cleveland area lately. Down in that we ran around and shot quite a few model homes for a flooring company. Beautiful locations. The agency we were shooting for has a flooring company that specializes in tile, hardwood, and carpet - that pretty well covers it all. Flooring joke.
Then it was time to shoot for another client but this time looking up. Lighting company we've been shooting the studio product photography decided they wanted to do some applications shots at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cleveland.

We also shot this incredible bar without and with the under lighting kits. Pretty impressive.

It was nice to have the creative director and the products show up at the studio when the snow and cold was hitting Cleveland. Nothing better this time of year to work out of our studio on the west bank of Cleveland's "flats". The side that actually has some activity on it. We were coming up with some interesting angles of a new line of lighting fixtures for a local client - lighted and unlighted. We naturally cranked out quite a few shots that day.

It seems we've been working on quite a few different accounts working to clean up the environment. From high end sorters which pull cans out of the general trash to recycling and baling cardboard for publications. I'm just glad it was too cold to smell anything on these particular jobs. Good clean work at 15 degrees.
Summer time it wouldn't be too much fun.
This last group of shots were done in Galion Ohio... yes we often travel to exotic
locations to shoot different projects. Akron, Columbus, Cinci, and out of state and on occasion out of the country.

We just hit the road and was given the opportunity to shoot some Indy Sprint cars.
The road to Indianapolis Indiana was crazy with big winds and tons of rain but we made it in no time. Dropped equipment off at Tony Stewarts facilities and went to find some dinner. Next day found all of us at the "garage" - a huge facility with everything you could image to run a racing team or two. We were shooting a couple of sprint cars one being for driver Donny Schatz. Our team made quick work of setting up a studio on location and began shooting away at different angles and sides of these cool looking racing cars.

We just finished up with some high end medical products designed for the spine industry. Working in the studio at Stata Productions we were able to make this
equipment sparkle. We have been shooting quite a few medical prototypes for companies
in the Cleveland area and out of state as well.

There was quite a lot of outlining but the client was very happy with the freedom this allowed him for future needs.

We just finished working with Tracy Watts expert hair colorist for the stars. Stars of Ohio and the U.S. that is. Speaking of stars Tracy's subjects added a great deals of sparkle to our shoot. Alex, Meghan and Diana were fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone looking for fresh faces. We shot in the hair salon and the outside lobby which was a little tough at first but with some special lighting we pulled out some great shots.

We went out to a local manufacturing firm a couple of weeks ago and shot the whole process for their internal marketing efforts. Kind of tricky photography because most of their materials were very light colored and you couldn't drag the shutter and blow out the whites. I believe we came out with some great shots.

These particular building shots were done for a firm that built on a large expansion in the great Cleveland area.
We then had an opportunity to shoot some promotional portraits for a spokesman for a local advertising agency. This guy was some character.

We shot with the understanding that various promotional cards would be dropped into his arms with photoshop.
The last shot I'm posting is a comparison of one of my portraits. My client had actually been told by her company to go to another professional photo studio in town and have her headshot taken there. The image on the left is what she had done there the image to the right was shot by Stata Productions. I think the comparison speaks for itself.

Just finishing shooting for rocketcalc.com. We've been shooting for Bryan Lewis and Larry McFarland for some time now. Bryan and his team build the supercomputer and Larry makes them look incrediable in his brochures, websites and promotional cards. We shot the product photography looking straight up and normal for the proper look and then we shot with a super wide lens to sex up the shot.
Of course Bryan wanted to see the inner workings of this supercomputer..... I told him it looked like tokyo japan in a godzilla movie. You can see what I mean.

Then the photoshop guru - Larry McFarland - takes the shot one step farther and wow.. Nice shot.

I had the opportunity to shoot with a local production company recently.
They were shooting video B roll for a commercial. The idea was to use
available talent and show people enjoying the outdoor patio of a near by
restaurant. We had to start shooting after closing time so it was a late
night. Lot of fun and some great shots. If it looks like everyone was enjoying
themselves it's because they were.

The shots that I did will be used for print or website collateral. Much higher resolution then anything you could pull from the video.

Just got back from a trip to Grand Junction Colorado. It was a mere 106 degrees outside but a dry heat. We shot for a major Cleveland Corporation that had store
opening that required my professional photography services. They didn't want to leave
it up to an unknown shooter in Colorado....so Stata productions was asked to fly out and cover the event. Nice to be thought of.

Flew out the nite before on a commercial airline and was back the following day after the shoot. This time I was able to travel lite with a camera bag and carry on suitcase.

Senior Portraits in Downtown Cleveland Studio

It's that time of year when the phone starts ringing from friends and client's looking for something different for their kids senior portraits. Always fun and interesting to come up with new shots...especially if I shot their older siblings. It can't look like my sisters shots.

We typically shoot in the air-conditioned comfort of the studio and then work our way outside if that is what the student is looking for. Several clothing changes, hair, make-up, etc.

Sometimes the next sibling gets in the shot... but she'll have to wait for her shots.

Cleveland Photographer Shoots Canton Football Hall of Fame

Once again we drove down to Canton Ohio for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement
weekend. We were helping out the Hall of Fame master of photography Studio 7 Shawn Wood. Always a pleasure to shoot event photography with such a great and talented group of photographers. Shawn would let us know our duties and off we went to cover all aspects of the weekend long event.

We covered luncheons, set-up of the stadium, Enshrinement, broadcasters,parties, cheerleaders, fans, and oh yea the game.

These are the shots when the sun was out. Game day was another story. It rained and rained and came down in buckets. The fans stayed in the fan appreciation tents for as long as possible.

Not that it was bad in the tents.

But then it was time to venture into the rain.... and did I mentioned it rained.

But it's football and the game will go on. We also covered the NFL Network. Bryant Gumbel and Chris Collinsworth.... I kind of spent more time shooting them since it was undercover.

Then it was time to get down to the field... the rain started to die down anyway.

The fans went crazy - the game was won - and the legends were remembered.

We found ourselves for the second year in a row helping out an organization called
Kids in Flight. The mission of Kids in Flight™ is to use aviation as a tool to empower seriously ill children and their families through flight experiences and educational programs.
I was able to capture the big smiles of the kids and families after they came down from
their airplane experience.

It was a beautiful day and we came up with some great photos. I know the kids had fun.

We received a call from a west coast production company looking to shoot production
stills for their east coast sister company. The shots were used in the background for a Bone Thugs-n-Harmony video. We had to upload 50 mb files to a printer overnight for printing the next morning. 20 minutes an upload. All and all it was fun.

We did our annual run and shoot at one of the local career centers in Cleveland. I say run because the schedule is so tight we usually have about 15 minutes to pull off a incredible shot. That's where the assistant comes in. We need an additional set of hands so the client isn't lugging lights. We always get some great shots of the students and sometimes of the teachers.

I hit the road and traveled back to the home front of Upstate New York. Fishing and camping. Fishing was decent but the time in the woods was great. It was nice to be out
in the middle of no where... no work - no cell service - lost one job but that's the way it goes. Took a few snap shots - that were worked into some more then that.

Of course boys will be boys and we enjoyed the fellowship and stories...lies..and how big was the one that got away.

We had the opportunity to shoot a large leadership event last month. The still photography was used as a final powerpoint presentation for a big finale. Up front
in close shooting and long lens shooting. It was nice having control over the look
of the shoot.

I shot over two day from 7am to 7pm or later. Long days but we were able to get
some great shots.

Tri-C event. Both of these guys were real naturals in front of the camera

I've been asked to shoot several medical device shots in the last couple of weeks. It's always a bonus when the client comes to the location where all the toys, and photographic equipment lives. Better then packing it all up and hauling to a location shoot but of course we do both.

Sports Photographer Photographing Hunting Dogs

We had a little different shoot last week. I had brought along one of my digital cameras and a long lens while I was helping a friend train his champion shorthair and german wirehair pointers. These dogs are "unbelievable". Faster then you can imagine and catch scent of a chukar while doing it.

Derek Plyler has trained and raised quite a few award winning hunting dogs. He's located outside of Medina Ohio and works these dogs almost ever night. Last week was another big push to tune this pointers for the upcoming competitions. We set out chukars - a very cool looking game bird.

A dog is then released on a command - "bird" - and a dog is off so fast it's hard to keep up with him.

When the dog finds the bird he goes on point. Which makes for quite a cool photograph.

The hunter or trainer then moves in to flush the bird.

He then shoots the bird and if he hits it the dog is released to retrieve.

We actually just shot an interesting shoot: Product photography - but dropping the product from eight feet up and smashing
into the floor. I was able to shoot the product with my new Canon at a high shutter speed and stop the action. We shot
five for five - what a mess.

After the winter we've had it was nice to shoot in studio and more importantly indoors. If you can't travel to warm climates
then you make do inside. We have continued to shoot automotive accessory product photography with models. Always fun.
Somebody has to make the handles for rakes and shovels. We get the opportunity to shoot them. The photography wasn't that
hard but the graphic designer whined when it came to outlining rakes. Not my job... but someone is willing to do it.

We also shoot events. Event photography, award recognition are also a staple of many photographers. We are not
the exception. Lots of fun and demanding.

This particular job was for Sales and Marketing Executives of Cleveland. Award winners include Dawn Southard, Glazen Creative,Toby Cosgrove, Cleveland Clinic and Glen Renwick of Progressive Insurance.

Travel Aviation Manufacturing Photography

January was a month to hit the road. The road to Michigan to shoot some on location portraits and manufacturing
photography just outside of Detroit. It was nice to get on the road again. Especially if you can drive. Flying and hauling
all my gear is not fun.
Then we actually did fly out of Cleveland Ohio and shot in West Palm beach, Florida. It was a quick 24 hour trip but what a
day and what a location. We shot on the runway shooting models and private jets. Of course we had to take commercial
airlines to get down there but we had several models of private planes to photograph. Must be nice to shoot in Florida
all the time.

Pet Product Photography - women and cats

We did a shoot of women and cats for a pet supply company. The cats actually worked out very well. It's always fun working
with animals. You never know what they'll do. The models worked out well too but you'd expect that. The client was looking
for some original cat and women photography for their new product line. They had a difficult time finding stock photography
for their packaging shots. Lucky for us.

We had a couple of cats but Moose here seemed to be the best model.

Well it's been a crazy last couple of months and of course I can't believe that I haven't posted since November.
Between the holidays, the photography and sports afield - is that enough excuses? We were actually out shooting
architecture in November and and December. That's crazy.... but then we've had a crazy winter.

The photography business is a collaboration of a lot of different opportunities. Thru the last several months we
shot holiday parties and events, model portfolios, product photography, photographic illustrations, printed and web
work. It's never the same and always is changing.
One of the things that sets us a part is that we act as virtual photographers for many clients. I've often had graphic and
creative designers direct me from the comfort of their offices while I shoot. We'll shoot a product shot and then resize
and email or ftp the image for approval. Most agencies are so booked with work that they can't afford to send a creative
off site. Thus the virtual photographer.

We had some fun with one agency in town. They came up with this idea for one of their client to do some photographic
illustrations of common automotive equipment. This group and is always pushing the envelope when it comes to
fun and unusual shots. Love to work for. They sell the idea I do the shots.

We also did some interesting food shots - splashing liquid photography. What a mess but the results were great.

Of course we did some bread and butter of this industry and shots many, many, headshot, fashion, and family photography for clients and friends.

Nature and the Great Outdoors photography

This time of year I'm able to see some incredible outdoor beauty. Owning your own photography business enables you
to work schedules between work and play. My play is often duck hunting in Ohio's marshs. The beauty is in the details.
We also get out in the fields. Working with hunting dogs can add a whole another level to the sport. Naturally I always
have a camera.

Trade Show and Model Photography

We had the opportunity to do some fun character trade show photography for one of Cleveland's local
headquarter companies. People and products photography wrapped all in one. We provided the props,
studio and talent.

These images will be blown up to several feet and used around the country to promote the client's product.
I always enjoy finding real talent for my clients and we're always interested in finding new fresh faces. So send
images my way.

We pulled this last one off by putting the camera in the oven. Digital is great.

Industrial, Event, Portrait and even Wedding Photography

We've been traveling all over the place this summer. Shot thru out Ohio and Michigan. Photographing people, places, and things. It's nice to see new areas and meet new people.

We've also been shooting some interesting stuff locally. It's nice to be able to drive ten minutes up the road and set up some
great shots with beautiful models I might add.

We shot for a local company that produces catalogs. Catologue photography
moves quick and there are usually a ton of shots to be taken.
Did a few projects in the studio. It's nice to have a loft like studio where clients can come and relax and work on some creative shots.

From time to time we shoot Senior portraits and weddings for our clients. It's nice to work with interesting people and pull out some great shots.

I had the great opportunity to work for a fellow photographer Shawn Wood of Studio7photography.com and helped him to
shoot the 2006 Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement. We naturally photographed some incredible event photography.

The day of the enshrinement found us cooking in the hot August sun. Not exactly what I would call perfect shooting
conditions. We were all able to pull some great shots of the inductees and the fans that lasted through out the day.

The following day was more relaxed without the pressure of the program. We shot on the set of several interviews and
covered the game which played into monday morning.

We were all pretty beat but was able to sneak in a shot of us and the Oakland Raider's Cheerleaders. Not a bad day.

Hot Summer Days of Event and Architectural Photography

It's been hot, fast and fun on the photography market. We've been shooting some sweltering event photography from Cleveland to Columbus Ohio.

The weather has been kind this year and the grass has stayed green. Between the storms we've had some incredible days.

Our shots of interiors has been greatly enhanced with the help of some willing participants. I love photographing people in the
studio and especially on location. In their environment.

We finished up the month shooting some Lasik eye surgery. The digital camera really shines here. Being able to shoot in low light conditions.

Took a few great scenics of downtown Cleveland last night. Here's one.

Steel Manufacturing, Adult Care, Bingo Advertising Photography

It's time to get some images out to keep everyone updated on all the different jobs we've been shooting. We had the opportunity to shoot some incredibly large steel producing equipment. It was hard to fathom the size of some of these
pieces.
After that we were off to an adult care facility to work with some great senior citzens. Our subjects were full of personality and wit. Of course we draw quite a crowd to watch the photo shoot.

Somewhere along the way we photographed Dominque Moceanu Cleveland's own famous local gymnast. Dominque and her
fiance made the shoot fun and upbeat.
We returned to the studio on the west bank of Cleveland's "flats' and shot some great models for a Bingo supply company.
The models were all charactor models and the expressions were priceless.

Throw in a couple of model portfolios shoots and it makes the photography business a passion of love.

Burton Civil War and On location Medical Photography

We recently had a chance to cover the Burton Ohio civil war encampment. A great venue and some fun photography
opportunities. We shot in the museum and on the field of battle.

We did a few executive portraits on location and some medical facililties. I never know what we'll be shooting from
week to week. One of the reasons I love my work.

I had the chance to repeat a job I shot last year. Photographing vocational students in a local Cleveland school. We would
move from trade to trade in quite a few different classrooms. Our job was to not repeat last years shots and come up
with something interesting for this years publications.

Inside business Medical mutual Editorial Magazine Publications

It's been a month of editorial covers. Shooting for magazines can be fun and shooting cover shots gets the name out there.
Not like the internet but from a local level.

I had the opportunity to work with people in the public eye. One was a couple of motivational speaker -
Pine and Gilmore who work with business and the other was Judson Laipply who also speaks to groups but
mostly high school. He has hit it big in the new lately with his Evolution of Dance skit. It was rewarding to
get these two groups the images they needed.

Chicago Cleveland Finally Warmed Up

Since it's been a month - I'm going to post this backwards. Just got back from another job in Chicago, and yes
it's actually warmed up. Shot out to Chicago for a local company via United. I promised myself that I would drive but I found
myself in baggage hell again. The shoot went well and we made our connections with time to spare.

We also did some product photography on location in one of Cleveland's thousands of manufacturing facilities.
Promoting the product in interesting places.

The middle of the month found us at cleveland's IX center shooting a trade show for the conveyor company from Kentucky.
Quite the machine. Trade show and event photography can be interesting. Working fast with very little equipment.

I shot some executive portraits on location for a local software system firm. Client was new and there people knew what
they were doing. Believable portraits usually on the first shot.

We also did some new product photography for a local advertising firm. They have a client that produces protection for
car doors in parking garages.

I also throw in a sample of some artwork that we shot. This particular piece was from Paula Pindroh. Check her work
out at paulapindroh.com. Very interesting and talented artist.

Cleveland - Chicago Still Cold

Started out the month shooting out to Chicago to photograph nurses. Hey
we have nurses.... but the nurses in Chicago need me they said. So Chicago.
It was fun but a very long day. We did portaits and architecture and nurses.

Back in town we did some manufacturing work. It was nice to be back in a facility
were it's tough to get interesting shots. That's why they hire professionals.

I shoot for my friend John Desmone from time to time. Authentic Taxidermy. You know how they say people look
like their dogs?

We got into some fun studio shoots. Jimmy Kukral was in need of a superman shoot for one of his sites. My shot was

I've been doing some new look photography for www.roomelevenmusic.com. One of our models Shefali is also a great

February in and around Cleveland Ohio

Where did the month of February go? It seemed that I spent the month shooting events. People networking,
people receiving awards, and people just having fun. Not what you would call exciting photography but I have
always loved getting people to mug for the camera.
At the beginning of the month I took off with a client to see the country's largest outdoor sporting trade shows
in Vegas. What a show it was. If it had to do with outdoors it was there.

As it turned out a broadcast to several clients that I had time to shoot in Vegas landed a fun job. A major lighting company
was in need of some of their properties.

Then it was back to Cleveland for some major law firm location shoots. We shoot quite a few portraits and headshots in
our business but it's always more rewarding photographing people on the job. We had a chance to photograph Bill Brooks
of Hyatt Legal at his place downtown. Great guy and great place.

Of course we had several calls for model portfolio and pulled out some great shots in the studio. I'm always trying to reinvent the perfect headshot.

We finished up heading over to the east side of Cleveland and shot for Meyers Roman and shot some portraits and an
announcement for three new partners.

It won't be long before we'll be shooting a few weddings this season - mostly for clients but I'm adding Robert Kramer's

Professional Women Organizations

We started out the week shooting for NAWBO. North American Women's
Business Organization. One of the applicants found us doing a search
for executive headshots. Lori DeVone of DeVore Technologies will make
a great recipient.
We were also involved in the Go Red for Women. Through the American
Heart Association. Stata Productions had donated the photography
for their annual breakfast event and invitation through Rosenberg
Advertising. The turn out was great and the breakfast was healthy.

The rest of the week had us in the studio shooting fish and on the road shooting
new construction shots.

We finished up doing some executive location portraits for an annual report.

I've been cranking along shooting portraits and location photography.
We've had an unexpected warm up considering the record breaking December of 05.
I've started to do some shooting for Great Lakes Publishing.
I've been fortunate to meet some interesting business leaders.
Been shooting a few ads for different advertising agencies here in town.
We've been using various modeling talent agencies to find our talent.
I'm always interested in finding great talent.

We took a trip last week to Kentucky working with Telstar Video productions.
Mike Salemi and I shoot footage and stills of a new conveyor system. State of the art.

Throw in the normal model shots and Cleveland's manufacturing facilities and you're shooting in the midwest.

December in Cleveland Ohio - from a photographers point of view!

So it's been way too long since I've last posted. Originally I was planning on weekly but it looks like it's been a month.
Something I'm going to have to work on for 2006. Just finished shooting some projects for a couple of home builders.
These images are used to enter the NARI home improvement competition.
We were also back to shoot the winter scene of National City's building for the promotional company. I shot at 5 in the morning to get a "night" shot. Something to do with cars in the foreground of the full length shots.
The next day we went from freezing cold to something very hot. Molten metal is hot. You have to watch out for the flyers. I shot
with one of my older cameras on that shoot. Great place to shoot some interesting shots..... and the client was happy.

I did get a chance to get out to Canada again. We went out twice and the conditions were incredible. Beautiful landscape
and sporting photography. Throw in a few close-ups of waterfowl and you can see why I love the outdoors.

Back to work. We shot for a local agency that was promoting a new pet product. Hired a couple of models and a few pets.... They say
never shoot kids and or pets but everything worked out. Great kitchen.

I finished up the month doing quite a few holiday portraits and corporate events. Always fun. The things people do
when you put a camera on them.

Aerial, Archectural, Healthcare and Industrial Photography

It's been another great couple of weeks shooting all different types of work here in Cleveland Ohio.
Started out shooting some interior shots for a private airline company. It's a good thing I can fit in
small places. We shot actual planes and the construction process of their interiors.

We ended up doing some cool shots for a lighting company in the studio. It's nice to shoot inside from time to time.
Clients and products come to me instead of packing up the truck and hitting the road..... of course that didn't last
long and we were out in the elements shooting for a editorial project in the middle of a snow storm. Loved it.

Sometime during the last couple of weeks I ended up doing some healthcare shots in the operating room. Hospitals have an
interesting look of their own. It's all about the light. Of course I had to dress the part.

We also got involved shooting a brochure for a safty piece. Lawncare and proper gear. Leaves and more leaves.

Throw in a few family and kid portraits for the holidays and there goes November in the midwest.

Architecture, Animals, Awards. Armed Women Photography

Wow! It's been a very busy few weeks in the Cleveland Photography market. It's way past time to update the blog. I started
out shooting some great product shots on the westside of Cleveland. The agency I had worked with and I hired a couple
of models to pose in a few camping shots. Started out nice but by the end of the day the weather came screaming in.

Once the rain came I was off to shoot an awards dinner and party. Always fun.

The next morning I was off to do a field goose hunt with a friend from the backpackers shop. He brought a blind buddy - made for a good shot. No birds though. Nice sunrise.

The following week found us shooting quite of few architectural photography jobs for a couple of buildings on the westside and
the eastside. Beautiful homes.

During the week we shot for a corporate professional speaker group and pulled off some portraits and a campy photo shoot for a holday card designer Dave Szalay was working on.

Friday night and Saturday morning the weather had opened up and allowed me to shoot a downtown architectural shot I
had been waiting to shoot. Between the construction crew and schedule I was worried we wouldn't squeeze this out of
state job in.

The last week of the month found us finishing up the 2006 Girls of the Gunrunner calendar.
We pulled off some interesting studio backgrounds and great model shots.

Professional Shooting and Amateur Hunting

Starting out the week attending the Marie Piscopo workshop (www.mpiscopo.com) put on by Tri-C and www.asmp-onc our local ASMP professional photography group. Interesting and enlightening. Jumped in to shooting some senior portraits both
on location and in the studio. Always fun.

Studio shots are even more challenging in that I have to come up with interesting angles and niches to pull out the best photos.

I received a copy of the new menu Rick Shaffer (www.shafferdesign.com ) and I had worked on in New York city. The piece turned out fantastic.

Towards the middle of the week we did some good old fashion Industrial Photography with sparks and all. Cleveland is still
loaded with plenty of manufacturing businesses that need quality photography.

This time of year I'm off as often as possible to follow another shooting love. Bird hunting.

I went back to New York State for
some pheasant, grouse and duck hunting for a long four day hunt.
We were very successfull starting out with 75 degree days
and turning into some of the worst rain storms I've seen this early in the season.

The last day the winds changed around and we had our limit of ducks in record time. Great Hunt.

The whole time I was out playing I had Jim Baron and Amy Weiser covering the Battle of the Corporate Bands at a place
I've shot endless photos from days gone pass. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They did an excellent job of covering
the event.

Executive portraits, headshots and fish.

The weekend started out strong with Jim Baron and I shooting hundreds of portraits, some trade show exhibits, brand awareness openers and cocktail parties at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel and the old arcade.

After several days of shooting it was time for me to take one of my vacations. This time it was a trip up to Canada for their
second day of duck season. We did quite well and the morning was over before I knew it and it was time to head back to
Ohio.

I wasn't disappointed though - I knew my fly fishing club was on the way home - www.sunnybrooktroutclub.com.
After catching a couple of rainbows for dinner I was able to land a beautiful brown before the sun set.

Back to reality for the rest of the week shooting some construction shots for an architectural client.

We finished up the week shooting plaques in the studio and some additional meetings and group shots.

Every week brings something different.

Commercial Photography in Cleveland Ohio

This week kept me fairly busy. I had a couple of portraits in the studio. Which were
a little different from my normal executive headshots.
Then I had to push it even farther. Love that photoshop.

We then went out and shot some buffing and cleaning of a few planes for Cleveland
aviation air charter company's website.

Towards the end of week we picked up a job for a chicago trading company that had
us update their images for a new brochure.

Just another week of commercial photography in Cleveland Ohio. Some people call it work.

I started out the week shooting a wedding for a client of mine. Lots of fun and quite a few opportunities for some great shots.

We kept up the pace with portraits in the studio and on location in the greater Cleveland area.

Mid week shot some fun ads for a local business to business advertising agency. Of course the product exploded over night.

I finished the week reviewing shots for the 2006 Girls of The Gunrunner calendar and shooting artwork for Neil Hamilton.
